1. Information HerCycle may process

Depending on the features you use, HerCycle may process your username, nickname, hashed PIN, recovery/session information, language and appearance preferences; menstrual-cycle information, symptoms, health timeline and assistant interactions; creator profile information, videos, captions, comments, likes, saves, follows, viewing activity and reports; Kibati group records and trust information; Pinky goal and contribution records; payment claim details such as product, amount, selected network and transaction reference; and verification information you choose to submit for manual review.

2. How the information is used

Information is used to operate your account, provide the feature you requested, calculate cycle estimates, maintain health history, support Kibati and Pinky records, run Discover and creator tools, prevent abuse and fraud, review verification/payment claims, improve reliability, and protect the platform and its users.

3. Health information and Discover

Your menstrual, symptom and health-tool records are not used by the current Discover recommendation query and are not automatically posted publicly. Content appears on Discover only when a user intentionally creates a Discover post or otherwise shares information through a social feature.

4. Payments

HerCycle does not ask for or store your mobile-money PIN. Manual payment review uses the transaction reference and other claim information you submit. Before entering a mobile-money PIN, always verify the merchant details displayed by your network.

5. Service providers

HerCycle relies on infrastructure providers for hosting, database services, media storage, security and related operations. These providers may process information only as needed to provide those services, subject to their own contractual and security obligations.

6. Sponsored content and recommendations

Sponsored content is labeled in Discover and passes manual platform review before activation. Current Discover recommendation and promotion logic does not use menstrual or symptom records to select sponsored content.

7. Safety, moderation and legal requirements

Reports, suspicious activity and content may be reviewed by authorized HerCycle owners/reviewers. Information may also be retained or disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law, or respond to a valid legal process.

8. Retention and deletion

Information is retained while needed to provide the service, maintain security and fraud records, resolve disputes, or satisfy applicable requirements. Account or data-deletion requests should be sent through the support channel published on the HerCycle Support page.

9. Security

HerCycle stores a hash of your PIN rather than the PIN in readable form. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your PIN and recovery code private and report suspicious account activity promptly.

10. Policy updates

This policy may change as HerCycle adds features or legal requirements change. Material updates may require a new acknowledgement inside the product.
